About this product

Hinged & Pocket Tins

For samples, travel and single servings, the loose lid is the problem — it gets put down on a train table and left there. A hinged lid solves it entirely and is why this format persists for anything carried around.

Flat pocket tins are the sampler workhorse: cheap enough to give away at a market stall, sturdy enough that they arrive intact, and small enough that people keep them for something else afterwards, which is free advertising for as long as the tin exists.

A hinge is a mechanical joint, so we specify it rather than assuming it. A rolled hinge on a thin tin loosens after a few hundred openings; a properly formed one does not. On a sample tin that will be opened five times it does not matter, and on a travel tin it does.

FAQ

Hinged & Pocket Tins: quick answers

What is the minimum order for hinged tea tins?
Minimum order is just 12 — with bulk pricing tiers as quantities grow.
How fast will my order arrive?
Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and the finished order ships in about 2 weeks — express turnaround is available for tight dates.
Are hinged tins airtight?
No. A hinge and a seal are hard to combine cheaply, so treat a hinged tin as snug rather than sealed. For samples and single servings that is fine; for a month’s supply of loose leaf it is not.
Do the hinges wear out?
A thin rolled hinge loosens after a few hundred openings. A properly formed one does not. On a sample tin opened five times it is irrelevant; on a travel tin someone uses daily it is the whole product, so we specify it either way.
