About this product

Lithographed Tins

The way a good tin is decorated is that the artwork is offset printed onto a flat sheet of tinplate, cured, and only then cut and formed into a tin. The print is part of the metal surface. It wraps around corners without a join and it cannot lift, peel or bubble.

The alternative is a paper or vinyl label wrapped around a plain tin. It looks fine on day one, it is much cheaper at low volumes, and in a kitchen — steam, damp cloths, a shelf above a kettle — the edge lifts within months.

Litho has a real setup cost, so below a certain quantity a label genuinely is the right answer and we will say so rather than pushing you into a print run you do not need. Above it, there is no comparison.

FAQ

Lithographed Tins: quick answers

What is the minimum order for lithographed tins?
Minimum order is just 12 — with bulk pricing tiers as quantities grow.
How fast will my order arrive?
Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and the finished order ships in about 2 weeks — express turnaround is available for tight dates.
Litho or a printed label?
Volume decides it honestly. Litho has a real setup cost and below a certain quantity a label is the sensible answer — we will tell you where that line is for your run. Above it, litho is better in every way and the same money or less.
Why do our labelled tins peel?
Steam and damp. A kitchen shelf above a kettle is a hostile place for an adhesive edge, and once a corner lifts the rest follows. Litho printing has no edge to lift because the ink is on the metal itself.
